Agartala Nov 07: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)- led state government has prioritized the overall development of the state, with a focus on both urban and rural areas. In line with this goal, the government is actively working from the city to the village to ensure comprehensive development, said Minister Sudhangshu Das.

The Minister for SC Welfare Department Sudhangshu Das added, “One significant initiative is the establishment of the TSR 15 Battalion camp in Kanchanbari, under Fatikroy assembly constituency, following a long-standing public demand. This move highlights the government's commitment to accelerating development in rural areas, not just cities”.

The Minister cum Fatikroy MLA on Thursday visited the proposed site for the TSR 15 Battalion camp in West Kanchanbari. He was accompanied by Inspector General of Police IPS Keri Marar, district and sub-divisional level officers, forest department officials, and others.

Talking to the reporters Das mentioned that the land acquisition process has been ongoing for the past six months.

During the day’s visit, various officials conducted a thorough review of the area.

“In the coming days, the foundation stone for the TSR 15 Battalion camp will be laid by the Chief Minister, Dr. Manik Saha”, he informed.

He further added, “The establishment of this camp is expected to greatly benefit the people of Fatikroy assembly and Kanchanbari area. It will enhance security in the entire assembly area and provide economic opportunities for local businesses, as the camp residents will shop in nearby markets. This development is seen as a positive step for the Kanchanbari area”.

Minister Sudhanshu Das assured that such developmental activities will continue in the future, reflecting the government's dedication to the overall progress of the state.
