Dharmanagar, October 17: The state will attain overall development through a cooperative approach, said Cooperation Minister, Sukla Charan Noatia while addressing the inauguration ceremony of a guest house and marriage hall at the Rajbari area of Dharmanagar on Tuesday afternoon.

The newly built guest house and marriage hall for the benefit of people have been inaugurated by the minister along with the speaker of the Tripura Legislative Assembly, Biswa Bandhu Sen, North Zilla Parishad Sabhadipati, Bhabatosh Das, Municipal council chairperson, Pradyut Dey Sarkar, and several others.

Describing the failure of the previous government, Naotia said, “The left party had left the cooperative sector of the state with huge dues in the last 25 years, but the present government is focusing on using the cooperative approach as a tool to attain overall development. States like Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Haryana are also reaching the edge of development through a cooperative approach. Visible gain in the sector has a huge potential to boost the development of the state.”

A total amount of Rs 1.5 crore fund was sanctioned by the government for the project in 2022 and 2023, added the minister.

The cooperative society demanded the construction of a fire line in the building and an additional fund of Rs.50 lakh to complete the leftover work of the buildings.

The cooperative members also presented their demand for the construction of the road ahead of the newly constructed buildings to the minister and the assembly speaker.
