Churaibari, Nov 14: Students of Churaibari Higher Secondary School protested on Thursday by blocking the Churaibari-Kadamtala road in response to the transfer of their Biology teacher, Prabir Das, to Anandnagar School. The protest disrupted traffic, causing severe inconvenience to commuters. Students argued that the school was already short of teachers, and transferring Prabir Das would further affect their education, especially with exams approaching.

Despite efforts from the school administration to explain that teacher transfers are part of regular duties and that students' studies would not be disrupted, the students refused to relent. They demanded that Prabir Das be reinstated at their school.

The situation prompted the arrival of police and a school inspector, who spoke with the students to resolve the issue. Headmistress of the school, Sabita Roy confirmed the transfer but assured that the students' education would not suffer. The protest, however, continued, with no immediate resolution.
