Suraj, Nippur half centuries help Manughat School’s victory

Longtraivally, Aug 5: Manughat School defeated Chamanu school by a big margin of 131 runs in Under-17 Inter-School Cricket organized by Sub-Divisional Cricket Association. The match was played at Ghagrachhara school ground on Friday.
Suraj Gurung and Nipu Ranjan Tripura's fast batting gave Manughat School an easy win.
After winning the toss this morning, Manughat School batted first and lost 7 wickets in the scheduled 17 overs and made a huge score of 203 runs.
For the team, Suraj Gurung scored 55 from 35 balls with 1 boundary and 6 over boundaries, Nipu Ranjan Tripura scored 52 with 5 boundaries and 3 over boundaries from 36 balls.
Parth Das Chowdhury scored 27 with 5 boundaries and 1 over boundary from 8 balls and Sohid Sangma scored 23 runs from 7 balls with 1 boundary and 3 over boundaries. The team gets 36 runs in the extra sector.
Utsav Dutta (3/21) and Ayan Barua (2/26) were successful bowlers for Chamnu School. In reply, Chamnu School managed to score 72 runs in 16 overs losing all wickets.
The team gets maximum 22 runs in the extra sector. Besides, Utsav Dutta played 25 balls for the team and scored 20 runs with the help of 3 boundaries and 1 over boundary.
Rakib Meena (3/13), Ishant Shuklabaidya (3/21) and Suraj Gurung (2/12) were the successful bowlers for Manughat School.
