Agartala, May 24: Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) on Friday announced the results of Madhyamik and Higher Secondary examinations with the pass percentage of 87.54 percent and 79.27 percent respectively.
Addressing a press conference, president of TBSE Dhananjoy Gan Chowdhury announced the results; he said a total of 33,739 candidates of 1057 schools appeared in Madhyamik examinations and 29,534 candidates (87.54 percent) could secure pass marks.
In Higher Secondary, the total number of candidates from 409 schools appeared in the examinations is 25,350. Among them, 20,095 students passed the examinations, he said.
The TBSE president also said, 310 schools secured 100 percent success in the Madhyamik examinations and in case of Hs, the figure is 39. Besides, 100 percent students from 16 schools have failed in Madhyamik and the number of schools with 100 percent failure in Hs is 13.
One Paritosh Nath, a prisoner, passed the Madhyamik examination. He appeared in the examination from Ananda Mohan Roaja High School.
According to the Board officials, the pass percentage has increased from 86.01 percent in 2023 to 87.54 percent in 2024. But, the figure has come down from 83.25 percent in 2023 to 79.27 percent this year.
Probable toppers in Higher Secondary: As per the probable merit list in the Higher Secondary results announced by the TBSE on Friday, twenty candidates have shared the top 10 positions including 4 in the top position.
Shubhradeep Chowdhury of Harachandra Class-XII School (Kamalpur), Debasri Bal of Harina HS School (Sabroom), Udita Saha of Bardowali High (Class-XII) School (Sadar) and Tushar Rudra Paul of Shishu Niketan HS School (Sadar) have secured 484 marks each and emerged as probable toppers in the state.
The second position has been jointly secured by Snehashis Bhowmik of Udaipur Ramesh HS School (Udaipur) and Barsha Karmakar of Netaji Subhash Vidyaniketan (Sadar) and they obtained 483 marks each.
Lokesh Deb of Kamini Kumar Singha Memorial HS School (Sadar), Jayati Debnath of Manu HS School (Sabroom) and Puja Das of Kamalghat HS School (Mohanpur) secured 481, 478 and 476 marks respectively and ranked third, fourth and fifth positions.
Nabajit Saha of Manu HS School (Sabroom) and Rahul Islam of Tillabazar Islamia HS (Faazil +2 stage) Madrasa (Kailashahar) have jointly ranked sixth with 475 marks each.
Rajashri Paul of Nidaya Class-XII School (Sonamura) and Bristi Karmakar of Netaji Subhash Vidyaniketan (Sadar) secured the seventh position with 474 marks each.
Two candidates from Tuichindraibari Class XII School (Teliamura)- Manik Debnath and Ishita Das, along with Nasrin Akter of Vivekananda Vidyapith (Udaipur) and Diptanu Chakraborty of Navagram HS School (Sadar) ranked 8th with total marks of 473 each.
Dhananjoy Debnath of Vivekananda Vidyapith (Udaipur) scored 472 and ranked 9th in the merit list.
The 10th position has been jointly shared by Trisha Rudra Paul of Udaipur Ramesh HS School (Udaipur) and Api Debnath of Krishnapur HS (+2 stage) School. They obtained 471 marks each.
Probable toppers in Madhyamik: As per the results declared by the Tripura Board of Secondary Education on Friday, 14 candidates from various schools have shared the probable top-10 ranks of Madhyamik examinations.
Akash Chaudhuri and Jeetraj Karmakar of Sunflower English Medium Academy (Santirbazar) scored total 495 marks and 493 marks and ranked first and second respectively in the probable merit list of Madhyamik.
Purba Biswas of Netaji Subhash Vidyaniketan (Sadar) secured 492 marks and ranked third in the state.
Ramjoy Saha of Vivekananda Shishu Niketan (Bishalgarh) scored 491 and secured the 4th position.
Arnab Mitra of Sunflower English Medium Academy (Santirbazar) obtained 489 marks and ranked 5th.
The 6th position has been secured by Santanu Shil of Shishu Niketan HS School (Sadar) with 488 marks.
Tapalina Datta of Sunflower English Medium Academy (Santirbazar) and Suipriya Singha of Netaji Subhash Vidyaniketan (Sadar) have jointly ranked 7th with 485 marks.
Diptanu Ghosh of Teliamura’s Ananda Marga High School (English Medium) and Ushmita Debnath of Ramkrishna Vivekananda Vidyamandir (Sadar) scored 484 and jointly secured the 8th position.
Three candidates- Rishab Chanda of North Point School (Dharmanagar), Saumyadeep Bhowmik of Vivekananda Shishu Niketan (Bishalgarh) and Rajesh Debnath of Jolaibari HS School (Santirbazar) obtained 482 marks each and shared the 9th position.
The 10th position has been secured by Jayasree Pal of Teliamura’s Ananda Marga High School (English Medium) with 481 marks.
