Agartala, Sept 03: Two-day traditional Hojagiri Festival of Tripura will commence at Khedacherra school ground in North Tripura district from October 11.

Social Welfare and Social Education minister Santana Chakma chaired a preparatory meeting at Damcherra block to make the festival successful. 

Minister for Fisheries Prem Kumar Reang, Damcherra BAC chairman Upendra Reang, Addl. DM, North Tripura- L. Darlong, BDO Damcherra Swapnajit Sarkar and state-level HOjagiri festival committee members were present in the meeting.

Hojagiri is a famous folk dance form in Tripura and a reflection of the age-old culture. The colourful Hojagiri Festival draws hundreds of visitors every year.
