Agartala July 26: In an organizational reshuffle, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president J P Nadda on Friday appointed a new Prabhari ((in-charge) for the state of Tripura along with five other states including Assam, Chandigarh, Lakshadweep, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu.
According to the official notification issued from the BJP headquarters, former MP Dr Rajdeep Roy has been named as the new prabhari (in-charge) for Tripura BJP.
The former BJP MP from Silchar expressed gratitude to the senior leadership of the party for being given the charge.
In his social media post, Dr Roy wrote, “Grateful to the national president of Bharatiya Janata Party JP Nadda for appointing me as the Prabhari of Tripura state”.
