Agartala, Oct 18: Fumed over the delay in unloading of their vehicles, the owners of the Tripura based bullet truck gas tankers on Tuesday agitated infront of the Gonglung Gas Bottling Centre located at Bhagaban Chowdhury Para ADC Village under Lefunga Block.
The agitated owners complained that several bullet trucks from the Northeast states including Tripura and neighbouring Bangladesh unload their tankers in the Gonglung Gas Bottling Centre, but the matter of concern is that the concerned authority of the bottling centre release the tankers from other states and Bangladesh by allowing them to unload their tankers on priority basis. The trucks are being vacated to release them early and leaving the tankers of Tripura to wait in a long queue, they said.
According to the owners of the Tripura bullet truck their trucks are left parked idle infront of the bottling centre for at least 10 to 15 days as the tankers are not allowed to unload gas on priority basis. They said that following this they are reeling under acute problems.
The agitated bullet truck owners on Tuesday spoke to the concerned authority of the gas bottling centre, but failed to get proper reply over the delay in unloading their tankers. They however demanded for a proper management of unloading the bullet trucks in the bottling centre.
