Agartala, Mar 19: Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Sunday made a humanitarian appeal to the people for donating blood generously and save lives.

Dr. Saha attended three blood donation camps organized by Civil Service Officers' Association and Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Administration, Tripura chapter of Gazetted Officers' Sangha at IGM hospital and ISCCM Agartala city branch at AGMC and GBP hospital.

Speaking in the inaugural sessions, the Chief Minister, who is a doctor by profession, said there is no alternative of blood.

The demand of blood could only be met through voluntary blood donation, he said, adding that one can save a precious life by donating blood.

In another note, the Chief Minister said, the BJP government gave benefits to the employees as much as possible but it was not reflected in the results of assembly polls-- there was a visible gap.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister was found happy as the employees' organizations came forward for organizing such blood donation camps based on his appeal. He appreciated this noble cause and encouraged others to voluntarily donate blood.
