Tripura CM, Dy CM attend org meeting in Guwahati

Agartala, Aug 24: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma attended an organizational meeting in Guwahati where they discussed the present political scenario of the state.
BJP national general secretary (organization) B. L. Santosh chaired the meeting and took stock of the latest political situation of all North Eastern states.
According to sources, the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura apprised the BJP national general secretary of the emerging political situation in view of Tipra Motha’s rise.
They also held discussions on the upcoming Village Council polls as well as assembly elections, sources said.
BJP Tripura observer Vinod Sonkar and party’s organizational secretary to Tripura and Assam units- Phanindranath Sharma were also present in the meeting.
Dr. Saha and Dev Varma also reported to have discussed about the next party president for Tripura unit and the two-day visit of BJP chief J.P. Nadda to Tripura scheduled on Aug 28 and 29 next.
Meanwhile, the Tripura Chief Minister visited Kamakhya temple in Guwahati and offered prayers on Wednesday. He also inspected Tripura Bhavan in Guwahati and interacted with the staff working there.
