Tripura CM reviews preparations for Amit Shah’s visit

Agartala, Jan 02: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Monday reviewed the preparations for the upcoming visit of Home Minister Amit Shah on January 5 next.
The Union Home Minister will take part in flagging-off of Jan Viswas Yatra in North Tripura and South Tripura districts. He is also scheduled to address two public rallies in the two locations.
The Chief Minister accompanied by BJP state general secretary Tinky Roy inspected both the venues on Monday and reviewed the preparations including security arrangements.Minister for Information and Cultural Affairs Sushanta Chowdhury and MLA Sankar Roy accompanied the Chief Minister during his visit to Melar Math in Sabroom.
Meanwhile, all units of Bharatiya Janata Party are gearing up to make the Amit Shah’s Tripura visit successful, in view of the ensuing assembly elections.
The Ratha Yatra from both directions- South Tripura and North Tripura will touch 30 constituencies each. The Chief Minister on Monday also inspected the Rath which is under construction.
The general elections to sixty-member Tripura Legislative Assembly are due in February this year. The upcoming visit of the BJP bigwig Amit Shah is significant in terms of the present political scenario in the state.
According to party sources, BJP national president J.P. Nadda is also likely to visit the poll-bound Tripura on January 12.
