Tripura Congress launches poll manifesto, places 20-major points for welfare

Agartala, Feb 05: Tripura Pradesh Trinamool Congress that has joined hands with its longtime rival, CPI-M on Sunday launched a separate poll manifesto with the assembly elections in Tripura at the front.
Pressing for ‘ousting of BJP’ from power, lone sitting MLA from Congress Sudip Roy Barman launched the party’s Poll manifesto in view of the assembly elections slated to be held on February 16.
20 major promises have been inducted in the poll manifesto of Congress comprising establishment of rule of law and zero-tolerance against crimes related to women at the forefront.
Free medical treatment for poorer sections of society, powerful Lokayukta after amendment, Rs 50,000 for wedding of girls belonging from BPL families among others have been enlisted in the Congress' poll manifesto for the year 2023-2028.
Lambasting the BJP over unfulfilled promises enlisted in the Vision Document 2018, Sudip Roy Barman said, “We didn’t launch the poll manifesto to lure the people like that of BJP which has failed to fulfill the 299 promises enlisted in Vision Document 2018”.
Talking about the agreement of seat-sharing with CPIM for merely 13 seats, Roy Barman said, “The decision and agreement was for the greater cause of uprooting the BJP from power and not for personal interest of the party of politics”.
The Congress leadership urged upon the people to have faith in the Left-Congress alliance and vote for the same to oust the BJP from power.
