Agartala Jan 20: Political violence seems to soar high in Tripura with barely less than a month left for assembly polls.
In yet another incident of violence CPI-M party office in Moloynagar area under 18 Surjyamaninagar assembly constituency was bulldozed on late Thursday night.
The CPI-M on Friday accused the BJP to be responsible behind the attack.
The CPIM alleged, “Coming to power in the year 2018, the BJP has launched numerous attacks on opposition. BJP backed hooligans resorted to large scale violence and hundreds of party offices were vandalized besides setting ablaze in these 5 years of governance”.
The opposition leaders demanded the police and election commission to look into the matter and ensure that such incidents are not repeated ahead of the polls.
The leaders however added that it’s time to protest against the anti-democratic attacks by the BJP-led government and people of Tripura will give a ‘befitting reply’ to this through their votes.
