Agartala/ Ambassa, Sept 25: Tripura Police succeeded to rescue three minor girls, who went on missing during school hours from Dhalai district on September 23 last.
According to police sources, the three minor girls are now with their families. Two among them have been rescued by GRP personnel at Agartala railway station while the other has been found at her relative’s home at Damcherra.
According to the school girls, they boarded a train at Ambassa railway station and went to Silchar for outing. After spending a night, they returned to the state on the next day.
The three minor girls from North Lalchari area of Kulai in Dhalai district went out of home for school on Friday last but they didn’t attend their classes. As they didn’t return home, their families conducted searches at all possible places and communicated the matter to police.
Soon after receiving the information, Ambassa police delivered the message at various levels including GRP.
Finally, two among them were rescued by GRP unit at Agartala railway station on Saturday while another missing girl, who got off the train at Kumarghat railway station, was found at her relative’s home in Dhamcherra.
A duty officer from Ambassa police station said, the three minor girls were handed over to their families. As per the inputs received from the parents, the three minor girls had gone with their friends.
Tripura Police in a social media post confirmed that Ambassa police, Dhalai District acted sharply and recovered the three minor missing girls and handed them over to their parents within 24 hours of reporting.
