Tripura tourism to reach new heights in two years: Sushanta

Agartala, Nov 05: Minister for Tourism Sushanta Chowdhury on Tuesday said that the state’s tourism would reach new heights in the next two years.
He was speaking to the media after attending the 38th Meeting of Board of Directors of Tripura Tourism Development Corporation at Geetanjali Tourism Guest House.
He said, the meeting included discussions on achievements, action taken reports, planning and other important topics.
Chowdhury said, the state government has been working in the direction of taking Tripura Tourism to global stage and the officials have also been working to achieve the goal.
In collaboration with the Central Government, Asian Development Bank and World Bank, the Tripura government would further work to take the state’s tourism to the global stage, he added.
Secretary Dr. P.K. Chakraborty, PCCF (chief wildlife warden) Rabindra Kumar Shyamal, PWD secretary Kiran Gitte, Tourism secretary U.K. Chakma, Finance secretary Apurba Roy, tourism director Prashant Badal Negi, PWD Chief Engineer Rajib Debbarma among other officials were present in the meeting.
