Agartala Feb 11: Apart from conducting meetings and rallies, sitting BJP MLA from 18-Surjyamani Nagar assembly constituency, Ram Prasad Paul is reaching out to the doors of the voters in his area every day.
Paul who claims himself to be one of the founder members of BJP in Tripura expressed great confidence of winning the seat for yet another term with majority of votes.
Talking to Tripura Times on the sidelines of his door-to-door campaign on Saturday, Ram Prasad Paul said, “Meeting people across the Surjyamani Nagar area and by talking to them, I’m sure that I will secure victory in the seat with huge margin of votes for yet another terms”.
Being asked about the concerned topics he is taking to the voters, Paul said, “About 80% people living in Surjyamani Nagar assembly constituency are poor and majority of them have a single demand, that is proper availability of government facilities”.
“Ensuring the real beneficiaries of all sorts of necessary government facilities including roper roads, safe drinking water, drains, electricity are the demands of the people that I have tried to fulfill in these 5 years’ time. Work associated with drinking water supply to every household has been completed already. Many roads have been renovated and new roads were constructed. Few works which are left will be completed soon”, said Ram Prasad Paul.
The sitting BJP MLA of Surjyamani Nagar area further claimed that he has kept the people of the area ‘safe and sound’ for past 5 years.
“There is no corruption, extortion, hooliganism in my area and I will ensure that it continues as such”, he said.
Being asked about BJPs 2023 poll manifesto and opposition’s claims on ‘Unfulfilled promises’, Rm Prasad Paul said, “By showing lollypop to the people of Tripura, CPIM ruled the state for 25 long years but did nothing in the name of development. And now too they have taken shelter of another party to come to power”.
He added, “Bharatiya Janata Party has done work for the people and development is visible to all in just 5 years”.
Paul further expressed confidence that Bharatiya Janata Party will be re-elected to power in Tripura with majority of seats.
