Week-long protest of AIDSO commenced on Tuesday

Agartala Aug 09: All India Democratic Students Organization (AIDSO) staged protest demonstration on Tuesday on the basis of 7-charter point of demands.
The organization has taken up a week-long program to press for various demands related to the education sector.
Speaking to the reporters, AIDSO state secretary, Mridul Kanti Sarkar said, “August 9 marks the beginning of historic Quit India Movement and the AIDSO has taken up a week long program from August9-15 on the basis of seven charter point demands”.
The demands include restoration of education system in Tripura, appointment of adequate number of teachers in state government schools, repeal of National Education Policy and many more.
Tuesday’s protest was organized in front of Rajbari in capital city Agartala.
