YC demands resignation of Edu Minister Ratan Lal Nath

Agartala July 25: Raising slogans of “Step Down” Tripura Pradesh Congress leaders and activists staged protest in front of Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath’s residence on Monday.
Showing black flags the Youth Congress activists demanded immediate resignation of Ratan Lal Nath from the post of state Education Minister.
Youth Congress Vice- President Shahjahan Islam while addressing the reporters said, “Everyday students are seen protesting on roads in various parts of the state alleging various abnormalities in state govt schools and most importantly acute shortage of teachers”.
“Under Ratan Lal Nath the education system in the state has completely broken down. Ratan Lal Nath has completely failed to run the state education system”, alleged Youth Congress vice-president Shahjahan Islam.
The Youth Congress activists further added, “Despite of huge no. of TET qualified youths sitting jobless at homes, the education minister who could never give any appropriate statement till date is in deep sleep. And on the other hand, one teacher is bound to take 8-10 classes everyday”.
Notably, since past few months several incidents of students protest regarding shortage of teachers has been reported from various parts of the state.
Claiming the state education minister to be not worthy of the post, Pradesh Youth Congress demanded Ratan Lal Nath’s immediate resignation to restore the education system in the state.
Police arrested all the agitators to vacate the area in front of Minister Ratan Lal Nath's residence.
