People of Tripura should stay aware of Cong-CPM twin swords: PM

Agartala, Feb 11: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who addressed two massive election rallies in Tripura on Saturday, slammed the Congress- Left alliance with ‘Kushti’ in Kerala, ‘Dosti’ in Tripura remark.
He said, the Congress and Left parties are fighting against each other in Kerala, but in Tripura they are fighting the elections as allies.
Addressing the first public rally at Ambassa in Dhalai district where Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and candidates of various constituencies were present, he alerted the people to stay aware of twin swords of Congress and Left parties.
“The Congress and the Left parties want to stop all such schemes that make life easier for the people of Tripura. That's why the people of Tripura have to be careful from the double-edged sword of the Left and the Congress,” the Prime Minister said.
itting out at the Congress and the Left parties, he said the parties had pushed the state backward in the terms of development when they were in power, and every vote for the allies would pull Tripura down again.
The rally registered participation of people in large numbers, particularly from Janajati section. The Prime Minister said the gathering reflected the mood in Tripura, it is with the BJP.
He also said, Awaas (housing), Arogya (healthcare) and Aamdani (income) are the new Trishakti for the people of Tripura; Janajati people are receiving the maximum benefit. He said, the BJP rule brought Tripura out of the clutches of ‘Chanda Culture’ of Left regime.
arlier in Tripura, only the Left cadres used to get the benefits of government schemes. Now, the benefits of various schemes are reaching to every citizen of the state, he said, adding that the rule of law has now been established in Tripura under the BJP government.
He said, the double engine government has ensured fast-paced development in Tripura.
“When I came to Tripura 5 years ago, I had promised HIRA-- Highways, Internet, Railways and Airways. The BJP's double-engine government has worked day and night to empower Tripura's development with highways, internet, railways and airways”, he said.
According to the Prime Minister, Dhalai which was earlier among the backward districts has now become an aspirational district. It is now in the second place in the list of 110 aspirational districts across the country.
Meanwhile, in very special moment, the Prime Minister was seen receiving the blessings of a beneficiary of PM-Awas Yojana.
The Prime Minister addressed his second rally at Radhakishorepur in Gomati district where he asked the people to be wary of parties that want to stop the progress of Tripura and asked people to vote for the double-engine government.
He also said the BJP had brought the state back on the track of rapid development in just five years, and that the state had decided that the ‘double-engine of development’ would not stop.
MP Rajya Sabha Biplab Kumar Deb and Union Minister of State Pratima Bhowmik among others were present in the rally.
