Mega Blood Donation Camp and Puja theme launched by Mayor at Usha Bazar Bharat Ratna Club

The festive spirit of Janmashtami blended seamlessly with social responsibility and cultural celebration at Usha Bazar Bharat Ratna Club, where a mega blood donation camp was organised alongside the unveiling of this year’s Durga Puja theme, “Sri Krishna’s Dwarka Nagari.”

The event drew enthusiastic participation from club members, local residents, and people from across social strata, who came forward to donate blood in a collective gesture of humanity. 

The camp was inaugurated in the presence of Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumder, who praised the initiative, saying that while festivals bring joy and celebration, extending that spirit to save lives through blood donation is truly commendable. He lauded Bharat Ratna Club for consistently taking a leading role in fulfilling its social responsibility year after year.

Adding to the significance of the day, the club formally unveiled its Durga Puja theme for 2026 — “Sri Krishna’s Dwarka Nagari.” Club officials explained that the theme aims to recreate the grandeur of the mythological city of Dwarka, blending elements of ancient tradition with modern artistry. The design will showcase the architecture, environment, and stories of the Dwapar era, offering visitors a unique cultural and spiritual experience.

The unveiling ceremony was attended by Ratan Ghosh, Chairman of Gomati Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union Ltd., whose presence added further weight to the occasion. He joined dignitaries in releasing the theme plaque, symbolising the fusion of religious heritage, cultural creativity, and social service.

Mayor Majumder emphasised that the dual celebration — blood donation and theme launch — reflects the true essence of festivals in Tripura, joy combined with responsibility. He noted that initiatives like these not only enrich society but also set an example of how community institutions can contribute to both humanitarian service and cultural preservation.

The atmosphere at Bharat Ratna Club was festive yet purposeful, with the message of “Blood Donation is the Greatest Donation” resonating strongly. Organisers expressed gratitude to all donors, volunteers, and supporters, highlighting that every unit of blood collected is a step toward saving lives.
