Agartala Feb 25: Acting on a tip-off, police of AD Nagar Police Station detained Biplab Dey for illegally selling drugs in the Gazaria, Camper Bazaar area of the capital city.

Noting that the arrest is a part of an ongoing effort to curb illegal drug activities in the region, OC Bijoy Das said, “We were searching for this drug peddler for along time. Finally acting upon information from secret sources we succeeded in apprehending him on Monday night”.

“Large quantity of narcotic substances including Brown sugar and Phensedyl were recovered from his possession”, he said.

The estimated market value of the recovered items is around Rs 1 lakh, said the OC.
