35th Tripura Industries and Commerce Fair to begin on Jan 29: Santana

Agartala, Jan 22: The 35th edition of Tripura Industries and Commerce Fair will commence at Hapania International Fair Ground, Agartala on January 29 next and continue till February 12, Minister Santana Chakma said on Wednesday.
She announced the event at a press conference in the presence of chairman of Tripura Industrial Development Corporation Nabadal Banik, Secretary Kiran Gitte, Director Viswashree B., and other officials.
Chakma said, as part of the fair, Destination 'Tripura Business Conclave 2025' will be held at a private hotel in Agartala on February 7-8, with the participation of around 150 investors and delegates along with bankers. She also underlined the chance of signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for investment in Tripura.
According to the Minister, this year a total of 515 stalls will participate in the Industries and Commerce Fair. 'Vocal for Local' initiative will be given important, she noted.
She said, last year the number of local stalls in the fair was 269 and this year the figure will increase to 337. She also expressed hope that this year's sale graph would increase from Rs. 6.28 crore of previous year.
Chakma highlighted the state government's commitment to organize the fair in a broader way with a focus to promote Tripura in global stage.
This year, the theme will be 'Destination Tripura: A land of Opportunity'. One of the key attractions for the visitors will be a 'Tech Pavilion', showcasing the state's innovation and growth in the field of technology.
