Agartala, Feb 18: The Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC), in collaboration with the Tripura government, has launched an advanced drone-based city survey project to ensure precise land measurement and streamline property records.

Mayor Dipak Majumder inaugurated the initiative at the AMC conference hall on Tuesday. The launch event was also attended by the Deputy Speaker of Tripura Legislative Assembly, Ram Prasad Paul, MLA Minarani Sarkar and other dignitaries.

Highlighting its potential to resolve land-related complexities and enhance urban planning, Majumder said, “drone-assisted land surveys will bring accuracy and transparency to property measurements.”

The project under the Land Resources Department of Ministry of Rural Development, marks the first time drones are being deployed for land assessment in Agartala. Officials believe this initiative will significantly benefit residents by ensuring precise land demarcation and reducing bureaucratic hurdles in property documentation.
