Agartala, Dec 19: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who is scheduled to visit the state on Friday to chair the North East Council meeting, will perform bhumi pujan for the construction of a new party office of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Minister Tinku Roy on Thursday visited the construction site at Nutan Nagar, near Agartala MBB Airport to check the preparation for the bhumi pujan and said that the present party office of the BKJP in Krishnanagar will be shifted to Nutan Nagar to facilitate party activities and programmes.

He said that the G+4 building of the new BJP party office will be build covering at least 1-2 kani of land.
