Agartala, Feb 08: Amra Bangali – a body of a Bengali community on Saturday staged a protest against the alleged mistreatment of the Indian immigrants by the US government and demanded the Modi Government at the Centre to ensure compensation and rehabilitation of the deported immigrants with honour through a discussion with the US president Donald Trump.

The agitators questioned the role of the Modi government at the Centre over being quiet on the issue of inhuman treatment of Indian deportees, who were handcuffed with chains on their legs and boarded by the US military aircrafts to land at Amritsar airport. 

The Amra Bangali however demanded that the Indian government shoould talk to the US government in this regard and ensure compensation and rehabilitation of the deportees with honour and respect.
