Agartala, Feb 08: In response to the call of the All India Congress Committee (AICC), the Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) on Saturday convened a meeting with the ex-servicemen of the state of Tripura to activate the party’s Ex-Servicemen department cell.

Party president Ashish Kumar Saha has chaired the meeting and told reporters that the Congress party is contemplating to rejuvenate the ex-servicemen department cell here in Tripura and increase the membership of the committee.

Saha said that the Congress party is eyeing to intensify and continue with the fight and movement of the AICC Ex-Servicemen Committee Chairman Col (retd.) Rohit Chaudhary in all the states.

The aim to intensify the movement is to raise the issues of one nation one pension, Agniveer and others, Saha told reporters.
