Agartala March 13: The Ashwini Market Business Association, operating under the Dukli RD Block, organized a blood donation camp on Thursday at the Ashwini Market Community Hall.
This commendable initiative coincided with the annual market conference, which witnessed the participation of around 174 esteemed businessmen from the locality.
Recognizing the persistent issue of blood shortages in hospitals across the state, the association has made blood donation camps a regular feature of such occasions.
This year's camp saw an encouraging response, with 50 businessmen stepping forward to donate blood, contributing significantly to addressing the critical need for blood supplies.
The event was graced by the presence of several notable dignitaries, including Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly and MLA Ram Prasad Paul, member of the Block Panchayat Samiti, Toton Das, members of the Bazar Committee among others.
During the program, Deputy Speaker Ramprasad Pal addressed the gathering with an impactful message.
He emphasized the importance of focusing on developing legitimate businesses rather than pursuing jobs.
He also issued a stern warning against engaging in illegal business practices, urging the community to align their efforts toward ethical and constructive growth. He reminded everyone that failure to adhere to these principles could invite legal action, underlining the need for collective responsibility in steering the business community in the right direction.
The day’s event not only fostered a sense of camaraderie among the businessmen but also highlighted the community's commitment to social welfare.
