Agartala, Feb 08: One more accused has been arrested in the Barjala pistol incident on Feb 5 and sent to the police remand for three days. After police remand the accused forwarded to the Court on Thursday.

The accused Rakesh Roy was arrested from his home at Barjala.

According to the police officials, he was one of the men who opened fire at a neighbouring house on January 24 last.

Police first arrested Pintu Debnath, one of the two FIR named persons.

Now, with the arrest of Rakesh Roy, the total number of arrests in the incident reached two.

According to the owner of the house where the incident took place, Rakesh Roy and Pintu Debnath of Barajala Manipuri are involved in the whole incident.

A police official said that Rakesh Roy was absconding since the incident. He was arrested on February 5. He was kept in police remand till now. He will be produced in the court today.
