BJP to celebrate second anniv of forming Govt. in Tripura with public meeting on March 9

Agartala March 05: On March 8, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will celebrate the second anniversary of its second government. To mark this occasion, a public meeting will be organized to highlight the developmental work done in the state over the past two years. However, due to the secondary and higher secondary exams scheduled on March 8, the meeting will be held on March 9 at Swami Vivekananda Maidan in the state capital.
Union Health Minister and BJP All India president JP Nadda will be present as the chief guest at the event. State Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and members of the state cabinet will also be in attendance. Following the main program at the state level, similar programs will be held at various district, mandal, and booth levels to inform people about the government's work.
State BJP President Rajib Bhattacharjee announced the details at a press conference held at the state party headquarters on Wednesday.
He urged the people of the state to attend the meeting on March 9 and learn about the current government's achievements and future plans.
To ensure the smooth conduct of the gathering, a team of nine people has been formed, led by Minister Ratan Lal Nath. The team includes Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, and others. They have pledged to make proper arrangements for the event.
During the press conference, Minister Ratan Lal Nath addressed the issue of misinformation being spread about the state's development.
He emphasized that the work done in the past seven years is unprecedented in the state's history. He highlighted the BJP's vision of "Ek Tripura Sresthsa Tripura," which includes all citizens, regardless of political affiliation.
Minister Nath also criticized the previous government, stating that they spent Rs 246 crore 94 lakh on development from the centre. In contrast, the current government has allocated Rs 4291 crore from the centre over the past seven years and has already spent Rs 516 crore on development work.
The press conference was also attended by the general secretary of the state BJP, Bhagaban Chandra Das, and other party members.
Preparations for the upcoming meeting are in full swing, with meetings being held at the mandal and booth levels to ensure a successful event.
