Agartala, March 21: Aiming to develop a sense of social responsibility and community service among students while fostering their overall personality development, the Bhavans Tripura Vidya Mandir (BTVM) has organised a 7-day long NSS special camp under the guidance of principal Swapna Shome. At least 11 students participated in the camp.
Dy Director of Youth Affairs and Sports department Prabal Kanti Deb had inaugurated the first day of the camp. National awardee and NSS Program officer of Madhuban Dukli School Suman Banik, Chairman of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Debashis Chakraborty and others were present in the inaugural session.
The seven days camp included cleanliness drive, awareness program social activities, excursion trips, visit to brickfield, distribution of care packs to the needful, cultural activities, sports activities, activities on art and creativity etc.
The camp provided a platform for volunteers to engage in various social welfare activities that benefit the community and promote national development.
In the closing ceremony State Forensic Scientist, State Science and laboratory, Narsingarh Dr Sabyasachi Nath, Principal of BTCTE Dr. Rajat Dey, and Chairman of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Debashis Chakraborty among others were present.
