CBI Office Teft Case: Four out of six detainees taken on remand; more items recovered

Agartala Feb 16: Police arrested six individuals involved in the theft at CBI camp office in Shayamali Bazaar near GB Hospital Agartala. The gang of thieves audaciously stole the doors, windows, and furniture from the CBI camp office, known to be feared by illegal traders and criminals across the country.
CBI officials discovered the theft on February 11 during a routine visit. Inspector Anurag from CBI's Agartala unit promptly reported the theft to NCC police station.
The investigation was spearheaded by OC of NCC police station and OC of Abhoynagar police outpost, Joynal Hossain. They managed to apprehend two thieves, Biplab Debbarma and Raju Bhowmik, early in the investigation.
Following interrogation, most of the stolen items were recovered. However, it was during the remand of four more suspects that additional stolen items were found.
SDPO Subrata Barman of NCC police station, while addressing journalists on Sunday, confirmed the details of the arrests and recoveries.
He mentioned that the accused reside in Shyamali Bazar area and some of them are known drug addicts.
