Agartala Jan 07: Police of East Agartala Police Station led by OC Rana Chatterjee recovered stolen gold ornaments and returned them to their rightful owners.

The theft that took place in October 2024, affected the residences of Rakesh Saha and Bhola Banik, both residents of Pratapgarh, Basak Para.

Providing the details to the media persons, OC Rana Chatterjee on Tuesday said, “In October 2024, Rakesh Saha and Bhola Banik filed a case with East Agartala Police Station reporting the theft of gold ornaments from their homes. The police swiftly initiated an investigation, which led to the arrest of three individuals suspected of involvement in the burglary.

During the investigation, the detained suspects were interrogated, and their confessions led the police to recover the stolen gold ornaments, valued at approximately Rs 5 lakh in the current market”.

Individuals who were handed over the recovered items widely appreciated the efforts of Police.
