Enduring legacy of Bangabandhu celebrated in Agartala

Agartala March 26: The beginning of Bangladesh's liberation journey and the contribution of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was observed on Wednesday with due reverence at the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission office in Agartala.
The event was graced by the presence of Arif Mohammad, the Assistant High Commissioner of Bangladesh. He raised the national flag of Bangladesh and paid homage to the martyrs of the liberation war.
Speaking to journalists later, he highlighted the significance of this day, recounting how the Liberation War started in 1971 and united the Bengali people in a prolonged struggle, culminating in complete independence on December 16 of the same year.
The Assistant High Commissioner honoured the sacrifice of the martyrs who lost their lives in the fight for liberation and emphasized the enduring gratitude of the Bangladeshi people for the unwavering support extended by the people of Tripura during the war. He noted that the contributions of Tripura's citizens are unforgettable, and expressed pride in commemorating this historic day on the soil of Tripura, where solidarity and support for the Bangladeshi struggle had been paramount.
