Ex-CM visits martyr Sanjoy Debnath’s residence

Agartala, July 05: Former Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb visited the house of martyr Sanjoy Debnath at Kashba Panchayat under Bishalgarh subdivision on Tuesday. He offered floral tribute to the portrait of the Jawan and prayed for eternal peace of his soul.
Notably, the mortal remains of Martyr Sanjoy Debnath, a Jawan of Gorkha Regiment of Indian Army came to the state on Sunday last who died in a catastrophic landslide at Manipur on Wednesday last.
Former Chief Minister tried to comfort the inconsolable family members of the deceased jawan and assured to stay by the side of the family in all situations. Facing the media, he said that he had already spoken to the Manipur chief minister and inquired about the incident. Besides, former chief minister Biplab Kumar Dev directed Sushanta Dev, vice chairman of Bishalgarh Municipal Council, to keep an eye on the family at all times.
The family members of the martyred jawan broke down in tears after getting the former chief minister by their side. The bereaved family demanded a government job for the wife of deceased jawan. Former CM Deb, assured to talk about the demand with present CM Dr Manik Saha.
Former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb was accompanied by Golaghati Mandal President Ramkrishna Saha, Golaghati Mandal Yuva Morcha President Harishankar Bhowmik, Sepahijala District President Gouranga Bhowmik, Sepahijala District Yuva Morcha President Diptanu Das and others.
