Santirbazar Oct 08: Extortion in the name of donations for Durga Puja celebrations continues in many parts of the state even after the end of festival.

A video that got viral in the social media platforms shows, Club members of Purba Para Durga Puja Committee in Santirbazar threatening the employees of Ajanta Showroom for subscription.

According to sources, the tussle took place after the employee of Ajanta Showroom, in Santirbazar market refused to give more than Rs 500.

The employee of the showroom was physically assaulted by the club mafias who also vandalized the lights of the showroom.

A case has been lodged against the culprits with the Santirbazar Police Station.

However, no action has been taken against the accused yet.
