Agartala Sept 04: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha paid met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and presented an elaborate report on the damages caused by the recent floods in the state.

While sharing this update on X, the Chief Minister mentioned about the comprehensive report on flood and its impact that was discussed in the meeting.

During discussion, Dr. Saha conveyed his gratitude to the Union Home Minister and central government for standing by the people of Tripura during this difficult times and providing necessary supports for rescue and relief operations.

The floods caused by heavy rains from August 19-23 devastated Tripura following which the state suffered damages worth approximately Rs. 15,000 crore. Around 33 people have lost their kives in the disaster.

Meanwhile, Dr. Manik Saha-led government undertook prompt efforts to mitigate the impact of flood and deal with the post-flood challenges.
