Fraudster detained for duping many in North Tripura

Dharmanagar, Dec 30: After duping many in North Tripura district, a fraudster was finally caught in a prompt action by the police.
The incident took place on Monday after the police of Dharmanagar police station managed to nab the accused fraudster Noor Ahmed (39) from the city, following a complaint lodged by a trader Mrinal Maish Das. Noor Ahmed was accused of duping many people in Dharmanagar and other parts of the North Tripura district for a long time.
It was alleged that the accused Noor Ahmed had called a trader of Anandabazar area of Kanchanpur subdivision – Mrinal Maish Das and in a telephonic conversation the accused Noor Ahmed asked Rs 50000 in cash from the trader and lured him of providing edibles like rice, pulses and oil at a lower cost than the normal market. Following this Mrinal Maish Das paid him the cash after meeting him in Dharmanagar.
Soon after receiving the money from the trader, the accused left the place after assuring him of sending the materials through a vehicle. It was alleged that Noor Ahmed ran away and switched off his mobile phone without delivering the materials to Mrinal Baish Das.
Suspecting his activity, trader Mrinal Baish Das rushed to Rajbari area of Dharmanagar Office Tilla area and found Noor Ahmed missing. Following this, the trader lodged a complaint with the Dharmanagar police station and also provided the picture of Noor Ahmed to the police.
In a prompt action against the complaint lodged, police managed to catch the notorious fraudster Noor Ahmed and recovered the money from his possession.
