Agartala Feb 22: Residents of Gasia Para under the 11 Mandai Bazar assembly constituency, falling under the Jirania subdivision, are urgently calling on the government to repair their nearly 3-kilometer stretch of road to Mandai, which has been left in a state of severe disrepair.
Due to a lack of maintenance over an extended period, the road is now broken and impassable in places, causing significant inconvenience to the local population.
Adding to the residents' woes, the drinking water supply has been severely disrupted, with blocked pipes preventing access to clean water. Despite having a water pipe system in place, there has been no water supply, leaving the community without a vital resource.
The people of Gasia Para have brought their grievances to the attention of local MLA, Swapna Debbarma, during various meetings and processions.
However, despite their persistent efforts, no concrete action has been taken to address these critical issues, leading to mounting frustration and discontent among the residents.
Given these pressing concerns, the community of Gasia Para is now demanding that the government take immediate steps to repair the dilapidated road and restore the drinking water supply.
The residents stress that these basic amenities are essential for their daily lives and overall well-being, and they hope that their voices will be heard and prompt action will be taken.
