Udaipur, Feb 21: If everything goes as per the plan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi would inaugurate the redeveloped Matabari temple in April, as hinted by Finance minister Pranajit Singha Roy on Friday.
The date is yet to be finalized but the administration is expecting the inauguration by the first week of April.
He reviewed the progress of Matabari redevelopment under the PRASAD scheme.
After inspection, the minister chaired a meeting with Gomati Zilla Sabhadhipati Debal Debroy, MLA Abhishek Debroy, Gomati District Magistrate T.K. Chakma and others. They held elaborate discussions on work progress.
Speaking to the media, the minister said, a target has been set to complete all the on-going works at Mata Tripurasundari Temple premises by March 20.
He also said, a plan is under consideration to restrict non-vegetarian items around Matabari. He also said, an area around Matabari would be decided by the district administration and steps would be taken to limit new construction with the height not more than the temple in the area.
The Finance minister also countered the criticism on social media regarding the colour in the newly-developed infrastructure in the temple premises.
