Agartala, Feb 15: Justice Jaswant Singh on Thursday took oath as the Chief Justice of the High Court of Tripura 

Governor Satyadeo Narain Arya administered the oath of office to Justice Singh at a simple ceremony.

Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Justice T. Amarnath Goud, who was acting as the Chief Justice of the Tripura High Court, and Justice Arindam Lodh were also present in the oath taking ceremony held at Raj Bhavan.

Justice Singh was serving in the Orissa High Court before being transferred to Tripura High Court as Chief Justice. The post of Chief Justice in the Tripura High Court was vacant after Justice Indrajit Mahanty retired from service in November last year.
