Agartala Sept 08: In the wake of the devastating floods that have recently struck the state, many individuals and organizations are stepping up to provide much-needed assistance to those affected.
Among them is Jayanta Deb, a painter and teacher, who believes that humanitarian responsibilities are an integral part of his profession.
Recognizing the dire situation faced by many children in flood-hit areas, where food and clothing are scarce, Jayanta decided to take action. Accompanied by the students of his drawing school (Kishalay Chitran), he visited the flood-affected regions of South Indranagar, Jagatpur, and Dasmighat.
Sunday, together with his students, he distributed books, pens, and food items to the children impacted by the floods.
This gesture aimed to provide not only material support but also a sense of hope and courage for the victims, to face the challenges ahead.
The initiative brought a mix of emotions for Jayanta Deb, who expressed a sense of sadness amidst the satisfaction of being able to assist around 100 individuals.
The efforts of Jayanta and his students have been a source of relief and encouragement for the victims in the affected areas.
