Agartala, Jan 06: Aiming to enhance the health care system in Agartala GBP Hospital, MP Rajib Bhattacharjee on Monday donated at least two electric golf carts to facilitate the emergency patients in the hospital.

The MP flagged off the vehicles in presence of the DM of West Tripura district Dr Vishal Kumar, Superintendent of AGMC and GBP hospital Dr. Shankar Chakraborty and others.

Briefing the reporters regarding his donation, the MP Rajib Bhattacharjee said that soon after becoming an MP, he got requisition from the superintendent regarding transportation facility for the emergency and aged patients in the hospital. Responding to the requisition, the two electric golf carts were flagged off here in the hospital, he added.

He hoped that the vehicles will play a crucial role in easing patient transportation. He said, “We have spent Rs 12 lakh from the MP Development Fund to ensure these necessary services are available to patients.”
