Shantirbazar, Feb 06: In commemoration of the 35th National Road Safety Month 2024, the South District Transport Department organized a programme at Santirbazar Trijunction area on Tuesday. 
The event brought together a diverse group of individuals, including officials, community leaders, and law enforcement personnel.
Chairman of Santirbazar municipal council Swapna Baidya, South Tripura transport officer Soumen Deb, SDPO Santirbazar Sougata Chakma and others were present. 
During the program, the speakers deliberated on strategies to prevent road accidents. Additionally, they emphasized the importance of recognizing and rewarding those who extend medical assistance to accident victims. 
The event also featured a quiz competition on motor vehicles, where participants showcased their knowledge. Furthermore, individuals who had previously participated in the department’s drawing competition were felicitated.
The enthusiasm and excitement displayed by the attendees underscored the community’s commitment to promoting road safety and fostering a culture of responsible driving.
