Nurses' role important in shaping reputation of health facilities: CM

Agartala, Jan 31: Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha emphasized the vital role of nurses in healthcare, stating that they are the pillars of the industry and play a crucial part in shaping the reputation of health institutions.
He encouraged nurses to prioritize building smooth relationships with patients and their families.
Dr. Saha's remarks came during the inauguration of the new academic building and student hostel at the North-East Institute of Nursing Science in Agartala.
He highlighted the state government's commitment to developing health infrastructure, including the establishment of medical colleges, dental colleges, and nursing institutions.
The Chief Minister noted that the state's health system has made significant progress, enabling complex surgeries like neuro and kidney transplants.
He also mentioned the setup of trauma centers in district hospitals and a cardiac care center in Ambassa, resulting in reduced referrals outside the state.
Dr. Saha expressed optimism about the institute producing skilled nurses who will contribute to the state's health system.
The event was attended by distinguished guests, including Padma Shri Chittaranjan Maharaj, Mayor Dipak Majumder, MLA Mina Rani Sarkar and chairman of the institution Parth Pratim Saha.
