Agartala, Dec 29: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Sunday announced that the offers for Group-D posts would be released soon.

The announcement brought a wave of happiness among the job aspirants, who cleared the examination and interview conducted by the Joint Recruitment Board, Tripura (JRBT), ahead of New Year.

Speaking at a programme in Agartala, the Chief Minister said the government is very sensitive. He cited hike in Dearness Allowance for the employees without any agitation and recruitment in various departments.

Meanwhile, the JRBT released the final merit list for Group-D (multitasking) posts on September 7 last and recommended 2437 candidates.

As reactions poured in from various sources, the selection was fully based on merit and the process was transparent.

The Chief Minister was speaking at a blanket distribution program in the Taltala area of Ward No. 40 under Bordwali Assembly Constituency on Sunday.

Dr. Manik Saha said, his government is working towards empowering women in rural areas and has initiated efforts to make the youth self-reliant.

“The state government is working for the overall development of women under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Special importance has also been given to improving their socio-economic conditions. Along with this, initiatives have been taken to make the youth self-reliant,” he said.
