Agartala, Jan 25: A fool-proof security arrangement has been made across Tripura ahead of the Republic Day celebration.

Checking has been strengthened at various entry points and Naka points. Besides, police have intensified vigil at all important places across Agartala city and other places.

The Border Security Force also strengthened its vigil along the India- Bangladesh border in various parts of the state.

According to police, a close watch is being maintained in the capital city and other important locations.

Our Khowai correspondent adds: The entire Khowai district has been put under a tight security in view of the upcoming celebration of Republic Day.
 
While search is being carried out in vehicles, the police are also keeping an eagle’s eye on movement of drug peddlers.
