Agartala, Feb 06: In a tragic incident, three members of a family including two women were killed in a road mishap at Rajnagar area of Udaipur in Gomati district on Tuesday.

According to police, Deep Das (19), his mother Mani Das (40) and grandmother Purnima Karmakar (65) were returning home from Pitra in Udaipur on a motorcycle, after attending an invitation.

When they reached Rajnagar, the bike collided head-on with a water tanker. As a result, Mani Das died on the spot and the two others also succumbed to injuries on the way to GBP hospital, Agartala.

Local police detained the offending tanker and lodged a case in connection with the accident.
