Agartala Feb 02: Saraswati Puja was celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervour across Tripura on Sunday. The festival, dedicated to the goddess of knowledge, music, art, and wisdom, witnessed grand celebrations in various households and educational institutions.
In the capital city, students of Umakanta Academy gathered at the school premises dressed in colourful attire to offer pushpanjali to Goddess Saraswati and seek her divine blessings.
The air was filled with the sound of hymns and chants as students, teachers, and parents came together to honour the goddess.
This year's Saraswati Puja is unique as the tithi extends for two consecutive days. As a result, many schools, colleges, and educational institutions have planned to continue the celebrations on Monday.
This extended celebration period allows for more elaborate rituals and participation from students and faculty who may not have been able to attend on the first day.
The festival highlights the cultural richness and spiritual fervour of Tripura, as communities come together to celebrate the goddess who symbolizes wisdom and learning.
The vibrant decorations, traditional attire, and the collective devotion of the people made this year's Saraswati Puja a memorable event for all.
