Kailashahar, Aug 29: A statue of Radha Kishore Manikya Bahadur was unveiled at Radha Kishore Institute in Kailashahar on Monday. 

The statue was made with financial assistance from the local MLA Mabaswar Ali. His gesture earned accolades from all sections of society.

On the occasion of the unveiling ceremony, an inauguration programme was organized at the hall of the Institution. MLA Mabaswar Ali attended the programme as the inaugurator while chairperson of Kailashahar Municipal Council Chapala Rani Deb Roy remained present as the chief guest. Among others, District Education Officer Prasanta Kilikder, DM Biswajit Das, Chairman of SMC Sushanta Malakar, former school teacher Shyamal Das, DDO of the school Samiran Malakar, social worker Arun Saha, Biswarup Goswami and councillors of KMC attended the programme. Headmaster of the Institution, Pallab Kanti Deb delivered the welcome address.  He thanked Mabaswar Ali for making the statue by donating from his MLA’s Development Fund.
