Agartala, Aug 12: Aiming to commemorate the completion of the 75 years of Indian Independence and also to propagate patriotism among the general public of the state of Tripura, the Doordarshan Tripura (DD Tripura) Channel is set to broadcast the Bengali version of the newly launched ‘SWARAJ-Bharat Ke Swatantrata Sangram Ki Samagra Gatha’ from August 20 next on every Saturday from 8 pm to 9 pm.
Addressing a press conference on Friday here at Agartala, Doordarshan Kendra studio, the Director of Engineering, DDK, Agartala, Ranga Swamy Pusuloor stated that the Mega serial SWARAJ which carries a total of 75 episodes will depict the glorious history of India’s freedom struggle from the 15th century onwards, especially focusing on the stories of lesser known heroes.
The first episode of the serial in Hindi language will be aired from 9 pm to 10 pm on Sundays on DD National Channel from August 14 next and it will be repeated on Saturdays from 9 pm to 10 pm on DD National Channel, he told reporters on Friday.
Pusuloor, also the Head of Office of DDK, Agartala further stated that the radio version of SWARAJ serial will be aired on All India Radio from August 20 next from 11 am on every Saturday.
The SWARAJ-Bharat Ke Swatantrata Sangram Ki Samagra Gatha was launched by the Union Minister Amit Shah on August 5 last, wherein he emphasized the need to preserve the country’s rich history and culture and pass on the same to the future generations.
In addition to this, the Doordarshan, to mark the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ is also launching four other serials – ‘Joy Bharati’, ‘Corporate Sarpanch’, ‘Yeh Dil Mange More’ carrying messages of patriotism and women empowerment and another ‘Suron Ka Eklavya’ – a music show to pay rich tribute to Bappi Lahiri. The first episode of the show will be aired on August 14 next from 8 pm to 9 pm, he said.
According to Pusuloor, the Doordarshan is also launching ‘Startup Champions 2.0’ – the stories of 46 award winning startups. The programme will be aired on DD News at 9 pm on every Saturday, DD National at 12 pm on every Sunday and on DD India at 10 pm on every Saturday.
Head of Programme of DDK, Agartala Alpana Das and the News Editor of DD News, Agartala N Reena Debi were present in the press conference.
